    Our Distinctives

    We affirm the Doctrines of Sovereign Grace that are clearly taught in the Bible.   Scripture teaches us that God is sovereign over all things and in the exercise of His sovereignty God dispenses His grace according to His own will.   These truths found expression in the “five solas” of the Reformation:

    Soli Deo Gloria – Glory belongs to God alone
    Sola Scriptura – Scripture alone
    Souls Christus – Christ alone
    Sola Fide – Faith alone
    Sola Gratia – Grace alone

    Indeed, at Liberty we serve a risen Savior!

    Christ’s resurrection from the dead testifies to God’s acceptance of His sacrifice and atoning work on the cross.   Christ’s substitutionary death on behalf of the elect propitiated or satisfied the wrath of a righteous God– a wrath which all men have incurred as the result of sin.   And Christ lives today, sitting at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for those whom He saved.
